USA- SOUTHAMPTON, NY SEASONAL HOUSE MANAGER
NYC family seeks an experienced and professional Southampton - based House Manager, (40 hours per week M-F Memorial Day through Columbus Day).
The successful candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in fine homes and be adept with supervising a large team of domestic staff. Responsibilities include: Managing the day-to-day operations of residence, Providing hospitality and superior service for principals and all guests; Event planning and execution(including set-up and service, post-event clean-up and follow-through). Financial management(overseeing household budgets), Calendar management; scheduling services to the home and informing principals of appointments Overseeing facilities systems, daily procedures, and maintenance Managing a large team of domestic staff; hiring, firing, training, scheduling, etc.
Act as gatekeeper for principals; liaising with staff as well as vendors and contractors. Maintaining orderly operation and overseeing meticulous appearance of the home. Assure that staff and systems function on the highest level. Coordinate the client's requirements with the Chef to assist with and oversee daily meal service. Inventory and Procurement of household supplies
Oversee maintenance of a fleet of vehicles and facilities (pool, tennis courts, etc.). Handle special requests, errands, and related duties. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a team of staff to ensure all aspects of the home are properly maintained and in top working order. You must have a reliable form of transportation to and from the property. This is a seasonal position. Salary is open.
